Guidelines for speakers

  1. Prepare your 10 minutes presentation (slides);
  2. Please test in advance your internet connection, camera and microphone;
  3. Please use the video and audio system during the presentation;
  4. Enter your session 5 minutes before start and present yourself to the moderator;
  5. The moderator will guide the session;
  6. A typical session has five presentations, each one 10 minutes long followed by a 5 minute Q&A;
  7. The moderator will introduce the speaker before each presentation;
  8. The speaker will share his/her slides and make the presentation. Use the “share screen” functionally of zoom for the presentation;

Guidelines for moderators

  1. Please use the video and audio system during the presentation;
  2. At the beginning of the session inform all participants that in case of zoom disconnection, they should reconnect using the same link;
  3. Host the session and briefly introduce the speaker before each presentation;
  4. Read the audience comments and questions in the chat;
  5. Choose or formulate questions to ask of the presenter after the talk;
  6. Facilitate discussion, if there is time leftover;
  7. Please make sure that the session starts and ends on time;
  8. In the case of a “no-show”, the next presentation should not start earlier. Please follow the time frame on the agenda.
